In reply to Your Excellency's letter of today's date, forwarding the proceedings of a meeting recently held at Government House, Hongkong, to consider the question of hospital accommodation in war time, I have the honour to inform Your Excellency that I concur generally with the proceedings.
2.
I enclose for Your Excellency's information, copy of a submission I have made to the Admiralty in forwarding correspondence recently received from the Commodore on the same subject, including detailed lists of the stores which would be required.
3.
I presume that the Admiralty will be furnished, through the Colonial Office, also a copy of the proceedings of the recent meeting, and I am not therefore submitting a copy to Their Lordships.
4.
The original proceedings enclosed in Your Excellency's letter are now returned herewith.
